Air Con Covers – Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is an air-conditioner cover?

An air-conditioner cover is a protective enclosure for your outdoor condenser unit. It hides the unit, shields it from weather, and keeps your outdoor space looking neat – while still allowing the system to breathe and operate efficiently.

2. Why should I use a cover on my outdoor air-con unit?

A quality cover improves aesthetics, safety and longevity. It hides unsightly units, reduces rust and corrosion, eliminates climbing hazards on balconies, and protects your investment from sun, rain and debris.

3. Will an air-con cover affect airflow or performance?

No, if measured and fitted correctly – our covers use approx. 75% free-airflow angled louvres so your system can intake and exhaust air freely.

4. Are Air Con Covers weather-resistant?

Yes. Made from powder-coated aluminium, they are rust-proof, UV-resistant and ideal for coastal or high-exposure areas.

5. Can I run my air-conditioner while it’s covered?

Absolutely. Our covers are designed for permanent installation, so your system runs normally all year round without removing the cover.

6. Do air-con covers reduce noise?

Our louvre design helps soften and deflect compressor noise, especially on balconies or outside bedrooms. Actual noise reduction varies by unit and location.

7. What sizes do you offer?

We offer small, medium and large horizontal louvred covers, plus small and medium vertical louvred options to suit most wall-mounted and ground units.

8. Can I choose the colour?

Yes. Popular colours include white, monument grey and black. Custom powder-coat colours available on bulk orders.

9. How are the covers installed?

Covers come flat-packed with stainless-steel fixings, adjustable feet and clear instructions.

10. Are Air Con Covers compliant with Australian standards?

Our vertical louvred covers help support NCC safety requirements for balconies and maintain adequate airflow. Used by builders, HVAC contractors and strata managers across Australia.

11. Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?

Yes. We supply builders, HVAC installers and strata managers. Trade pricing and project quotes available—send your plans or schedule.

12. How do I order?
